My dad wears bow ties every day to work, to events, to weddings - basically whenever he's in a suit and wearing a tie.There's only ever been one instance I can remember seeing my dad wear a long tie.
His collection of bow ties is ginormous and continues to grow, with him holding on to as many bow ties for as long as possible, much to my mother's chagrin.
I moved away from where my parents live Summer 2010, right about the same time my dad got a phone where he could take pictures of himself. So, when it became apparent that I already had a small collection of pictures my dad took of himself, most all of them in a bow tie, I figured I should share them with the world wide web...or tumblr.

So, when I was in middle school, I used to go around telling people that I was going to Harvard, like my dad. My mom would Shhh me and tell me not to say that.

He’s a “proud papa” cause I called to give him exciting news. When I asked if he wanted to hear exciting news, his response was to ask if I were pregnant - not exciting.
